Statussymbol am Gürtel. Nach ihrem Tod wurde sie an ihre
Nachfolgerin weitergegeben.<br>

2. Im Schwarzwald gab es unter Bauern früher eine Tradition, nach
der jeder seinen eigenen <b>Löffel </b>zum Essen hatte, <b>den </b>nur
er benutzte. Wenn er starb, wurde der <b>Löffel </b>nicht
weitergegeben, sondern an die Wand des Bauernhauses gehängt.<br>

3. Der Spruch geht zurück auf den Zisterzienserorden<b>. </b>Die
Mönche trugen ihr Besteck (hier: <b>den Löffel</b>) an der Kordel
ihrer Kutte bei sich. Wenn der Mönch verstarb, wurde ihm der <b>Löffel
</b>abgenommen.<br>

4. Soll in früherer Zeit für den Knecht gegolten haben.
Wenn dieser weiterzog oder verstarb, mußte er <b>den Löffel abgeben</b>,
damit ihn der nächste bekommen konnte.<br>
<br>
5. In der bäuerlichen Gemeinschaft des Mittelalters erhielt vom
Kleinkindalter an jedermann einen eigenen Holz<b>löffel, den</b> er
bis zu seinem Lebensende stets bei sich trug -<br>
i.d.R. an einem Band um <b>den </b>Hals. Wenn also jemand seinen <b>Löffel
</b>abgegeben hatte, war er verstorben, da er der Nahrungsaufnahme
