numbers of Nahuatl speakers?

Sorry I don't have time to add a full response to the recent discussion;
however, you might find it amusing that I got myself counted as a Nahuatl
speaker in Sta. Maria Atlihuetzia, Tlaxcala last year.  The question,
hence, was open ended enough that I was able to report Nahuatl in the
household without exaggerating, i.e. I didn't claim I was a native
speaker, that I had complete proficiency in the language etc.  The
questions was pretty low key.
