Chicomoztoc

I have a question about the word Chicomoztoc.  It's translated as something similar to the seven caves.  But is it possible that the MO element, could mean Momoztli (altar)?  Why could Mo in Chicomoztoc, technically be, or not be, momoztli?  Thanks,
