I think it is quite possible that the -tic ending has become a general
adjectival ending in Huasteca nahuatl (and I am not sure if it wasn't also
in Classic nahuatl where there were at least some -tic adjectivals formed
from verbs). In Cuentepec of Morelos Nahuatl it is productive in making new
loan adjectives and blue for example is said *azultik*.
