Tepache

   I was drawing a blank on the possible origin of "tepache", but I 
examined some vocabulary items and the light went on.  Consider the 
following words:

  nitecuatepachoa          descalabrar con piedra
  nitepachoa               apedrear a otro

The answer is fairly obvious -- "tepache" is 'something for getting stoned'!!
