"Ancient Chalcatzingo"
In the 1970s the Chalcatzingo Archaeological Project, co-directed by Jorge
Angulo, Raul Arana and David Grove, sought to gather data on the Formative
period village--its dwellings, public architecture, and material culture--in
order to better understand the site's evolution and also its relationship
with the Gulf coast Olmec. This book, presenting the results of that
research, is the most comprehensive and detailed report of any Middle
Formative period site in central Mexico.  David Grove offers his book
"Ancient Chalcatzingo,"  in a downloadable format:
