Cacomistle as a post-parturient cloth?

I always knew that CACOMIZTLE is a mammal who loves eating hens and chickens. When I was a child and didn't behave well, my father used to tell me "ahi viene el cacomiztle"!!

Looks like its Latin name is Bassaris astuta.

  Subject: [Nahuat-l] Cacomistle as a post-parturient cloth?

        Estimados Listeros,

As I remember someone, perhaps Sandstrom or Huber, mention the use of a “cacomistle” (a pad made of ixtle?) to the abdomen of a post-parturient. Can anyone supply the reference to this library deficient researcher?

        Thanks,

        Tom Grigsby
