This could be a variant spelling of *yequene, *which Andrews (1975:486)
parses as *ye quēn eh* “at last.”  Also, Siméon (1992:181) has "más,
también, igualmente, en fin, finalmente" for *yequene.*   Of course, I could
be totally off on this!  But it seems to make sense in context.  Hope this
helps.
