The Academy of American Franciscan History is pleased to announce the
publication of the new book: <i>Sahagún at 500: Essays on the
Quincentenary of the Birth of Fr. Bernardino de Sahagún </i>. This
collection of essays, edited by John F. Schwaller, focuses on the life
and works of Sahagun. They were originally presented as papers in a
colloquium organized in October, 1999, at the Newberry Library to
celebrate the five-hundredth anniversary of Sahagun's birth.<br><br>
