LSA 2008 OLAC Tutorial

Good news! Our tutorial proposal for the 2008 LSA meeting
in Chicago has been accepted. We are scheduled for
Saturday, 5 Jan., from 9:00 to 12:00.

The title for this year's tutorial is "Mobilizing linguistic 
resources within speaker communities". This will be the 4th 
OLAC LSA tutorial - we started in 2005. We've had around 
100 people in the audience every year, surely an indication
of the tremendous demand for solid information about our 
topics - technologies, data formats, archiving, using archived 
resources, property rights, etc. 

I'm not sure the OLAC tutorial is quite yet recognized as
an LSA institution, but we are well on the way towards that
end. 

I'm attaching the proposal, which includes the long abstracts
and speaker schedule, in pdf format.
