Numéro des "Cahiers Charles V", linguistique, sur le thème : 
"l'inversion du sujet".
Ce numéro, réservé à un fait de langue plutôt qu'à une école théorique, 
s'adresse en priorité à tous ceux qui ont déjà étudié la question de 
l'inversion du sujet (V-S ou LOC-V-S ou ADJ-V-S) dans la phrase 
assertive en anglais précisément mais également dans une perspective 
comparative avec d’autres langues. Le but des éditrices (Christine 
Copy, Lucie Gournay, Université Paris 7 UFRL / Institut d'anglais 
Charles V) est de recueillir dans un même volume des articles ou des 
synthèses relevant d'approches différentes sur un phénomène qui est 
largement débattu en ce moment par un bon nombre d'entre nous. Au-delà 
des clivages théoriques, ou de la variétés des disciplines, il nous 
semble pertinent de regrouper les problématiques et les hypothèses sous 
une même couverture. L'ouvrage final aura l'ambition d'être un 
"incontournable" pour tous ceux qui travaillent sur l'ordre des mots en 
anglais.

Domaines visés : linguistique (au sens large), stylistique, traduction.

Calendrier :
1) déclaration d'intention, sous la forme d'un résumé en français ou en 
anglais pour le 15 septembre 2005
2) envoi de l'article pour comité de lecture pour le 30 mars 2006
3) envoi de la version définitive pour le 30 septembre 2006

		Call for papers

Submissions are invited for a volume of « Cahiers Charles V », 
linguistics, on the topic : “Subject inversion”.
This volume will focus on a language issue rather than on a specific 
theoretical framework.. The call for papers addresses in the first 
place those who have already worked on the question of subject 
inversion (V-S or LOC-V-S or ADJ-V-S) in the assertive sentence in 
English precisely but also English as compared to other languages. The 
editors (Christine Copy, Lucie Gournay, Université Paris 7 UFRL / 
Institut d’anglais Charles V) are collecting articles or summaries from 
various theoretical backgrounds on a phenomenon that has been widely 
discussed lately. It seemed relevant to gather within the same volume 
issues and hypotheses on the topic, beyond theoretical distinctions and 
the variety of disciplines. The final project aims at becoming a 
« must » for those who work on word order in English.

Publication planned for the beginning of 2007.
Submissions in the fields of linguistics (in the broad sense of the 
term), stylistics and translation are welcome.

Schedule :
September 15, 2005: Submission deadline: Paper proposals should be in 
the form of abstracts written in English or French.
March 30, 2006: Deadline for sending off the articles to the reading 
committee.
September 30, 2006: Deadline for the final version of the articles.
