Effect

Dear colleagues and friends,

I have set up a very novel online study of "attention and performance"
based on the "Simon Task". The aims are:

1) Let people participate in a cognitive psychological experiment in the
browser. Collect the data and then use these for teaching and research.

2) Get psychology students interested in cognitive experimental
psychology. Give them the opportunity to run their own cognitive
experiments online as well using PsyToolkit
(http://psytoolkit.gla.ac.uk).

3) Give anyone an opportunity to measure their response speed and
accuracy and compare it to others (some people like this), get
personalized reports, and so on.

4) Participants can choose to make their data available for anyone to
analyse (personal IDs removed, of course). This can lead to a large
dataset that students and researchers can use for teaching & research.

5) To get at least 1000 participants before the end of the year!
