style="FONT-SIZE: 7.5pt">Ce travail tente de déterminer l’identité de la
préposition <I><SPAN style="FONT-STYLE: italic">en</SPAN></I> dans le cadre de
la complémentation verbale. Nous nous inscrivons dans une approche théorique
autonomiste, au sein de laquelle la langue est un système autonome dont on ne
peut définir la structure sémantique à partir de l’intuition référentielle ou
conceptuelle. La démarche consiste à observer les distributions de la
préposition pour en construire le signifié. L’étude porte sur un large corpus de
verbes entrant dans les structures <I><SPAN style="FONT-STYLE: italic">N1 V en
N2</SPAN></I> et <I><SPAN style="FONT-STYLE: italic">N0 V N1 en N2</SPAN></I>.
L’exploitation des données est facilitée par un logiciel de tri et de
classification des occurrences. Des tests syntaxiques ont permis de déterminer
des listes de verbes admettant un <I><SPAN style="FONT-STYLE: italic">en
N</SPAN></I> complément et d’enrichir la liste des verbes supports construits
avec <I><SPAN style="FONT-STYLE: italic">en</SPAN></I>. Il ressort, au terme de
l’analyse, que la préposition <I><SPAN style="FONT-STYLE: italic">en</SPAN></I>
permet partout au locuteur de présenter <I><SPAN
style="FONT-STYLE: italic">N2</SPAN></I> comme constitutive et classifiante pour
<I><SPAN style="FONT-STYLE: italic">N1 </SPAN></I>au moment de
