Le laboratoire Structures formelles du langage a le plaisir d'annoncer le lancement du séminaire "Structure argumentale et structure aspectuelle"<wbr>, qui se tiendra régulièrement à Paris 8 à partir de la rentrée 2009/2010.<br>
<br>
Le séminaire "Structure argumentale et structure aspectuelle" se déroulera régulièrement à partir de la rentrée 2009/2010.<br>
Les recherches réunies dans ce projet ont pour but de contribuer à une meilleure compréhension de l'interface lexique/syntaxe (ILS) en étudiant les classes de verbes et les différentes constructions (simples ou complexes) dans lesquelles ils peuvent entrer, ainsi que la construction de leurs dérivés. <br>
Les questions posées par l'ILS (par exemple les alternances de constructions verbales, reflétant une plasticité de la structure argumentale) ont été approchées de différentes manières dans le cadre théorique de la grammaire générative : une approche lexicaliste qui multiplie les informations codées dans l'entrée lexicale des verbes et une approche constructionnaliste qui met cette flexibilité sur le compte de la computation syntaxique, en gardant l'idéal d'un lexique maximalement contraint. En travaillant sur différents types de constructions à travers les langues, les chercheurs réunis par ce programme, adoptant l'une ou de l'autre de ces deux approches ou bien s'interrogeant sur la façon dont elles peuvent se compléter, se proposent de porter un nouvel éclairage sur la distribution des tâches entre le module lexical et le module syntaxique.<br>

Résumé: La plupart des travaux sur les nominalisations se sont <br>
intéressés aux noms déverbaux, et beaucoup moins d'attention a été <br>
portée dans la litérature aux noms déadjectivaux dont les propriétés <br>
syntaxiques et sémantiques internes sont pour une grande part <br>
méconnues. Prenant comme point de départ le contraste en (1) (Fradin <br>
et Kerleroux 2003), nous nous attacherons à montrer que la formation <br>
de noms déadjectivaux est contrainte par le type sémantique de <br>
l'adjectif servant de `base' à la nominalisation, restreignant les <br>
adjectifs possibles aux intersectifs, c'est-à-dire, descriptivement, <br>
ceux qui peuvent apparaître en position d'attribut:<br>
<br>
(1) a. une voyelle nasale -- la nasalité de la voyelle<br>
<br>
b. une cavité nasale -- *la nasalité de la cavité<br>
<br>
Cette généralisation peut être expliquée si nous admettons deux <br>
sources pour l'adjectif (une structure prédicative PredP vs. un <br>
simple AP) et que les suffixes nominaux sont la réalisation de la <br>
tête Pred (présente avec les adjectifs intersectifs seulement) dans <br>
le domaine nominal. Cette analyse semble prédire que les noms <br>
déadjectivaux doivent se comporter comme une classe homogène en ce <br>
qui concerne leur structure argumentale et leur interpretation <br>
(propriétés que nous lions à la présence vs. absence de Pred; comme <br>
c'est le cas dans les approches syntaxiques récentes à la formation <br>
des noms déverbaux; cf. Alexiadou 2001, Borer 2001, 2003). Hors, nous <br>
montrons que les noms déadjectivaux se divisent en deux classes <br>
distinctes: noms d'état et de qualité, dont les propriétés diffèrent. <br>
Nous montrerons comment les propriétés respectives des deux classes <br>
de noms peuvent être dérivées de notre analyse; et par là même en <br>
quoi la formation des noms déadjectivaux diffère de celle des déverbaux.<br>
