<p>Résumé
</p>
<p align="justify">Cette thèse a pour
objectif de rendre compte des relations entre syntaxe et phonologie
dans l'expression du focus pragmatique, du focus sémantique
(contrastif et non-contrastif) et du donné en français
francilien. Elle se concentre particulièrement sur trois
phénomènes : l'asymétrie sujet/non-sujet dans le
recours aux phrases clivées en réponse aux questions
partielles, l'alternance des questions à mot-<i>wh </i>antéposé
et des questions à mot-<i>wh </i>in situ dans l'expression des
véritables demandes d'information et enfin les ``effets
d'intervention'' dans les questions partielles.
</p>
<p align="justify"> Nous adoptons
l'hypothèse selon laquelle la syntaxe et la phonologie
formulent des exigences quant à la bonne formation de la
proposition qui ne sont pas contradictoires lorsque celle-ci
constitue un focus “large” mais qui le deviennent lorsque la
proposition ne comporte qu'un seul constituant non donné (un
focus pragmatique) et que la position de ce constituant au sein de la
phrase canonique n'est pas alignée avec la frontière
droite (ou gauche, en fonction des langues) de la proposition. Les
langues se distinguent par la façon dont elles règlent
ce conflit. En ce qui concerne le français francilien, nous
défendons l'idée selon laquelle l'exigence d'ordre
prosodique qui veut que l'accent de proposition soit aligné
avec sa frontière droite est suffisamment forte pour jouer un
rôle dans la linéarisation des constituants, aussi bien
dans les phrases déclaratives que dans les questions
partielles. Pour chacun des phénomènes étudiés,
une formalisation dans le cadre de la Théorie de l'Optimalité,
et plus particulièrement dans l'approche <i>Strongly Parallel</i>
OT est proposée. Le français francilien est mis en
perspective avec des langues aussi variées que l'anglais,
l'allemand, le coréen, l'italien, le japonais, le sotho du
nord et le zoulou.</p>
