MIC Sorbonne 2010<br>
"Preference and Efficiency in Discourse"<br>
Paris, November, 18-19, 2010<br>

We are pleased to announce an international symposium on information and<br>
meta-informative centering in natural languages to be held at Paris-Sorbonne<br>
University on Nov. 18-19, 2010. The Meta-Informative Centering Theory (MIC) is<br>
currently developed at CELTA (Centre de Linguistique Theorique et Appliquee).<br>
The symposium is intended to focus on preference and efficiency in discourse,<br>
and to continue discussion on crucial issues of the MIC theory in connection<br>
with research on pragmatics including the Socio-Cognitive Approach (SCA) to<br>
pragmatics developed at the State University of New York at Albany. For further<br>
