prédication est l’opération qui fonde tout énoncé, verbal ou non
verbal. Cette notion peut s’appréhender de façon diverse selon les
cadres théoriques dans lesquels on se situe. Elle diffère également
selon la langue étudiée. Le numéro de Faits de langue consacré à cette
question (<i>La prédication, </i></span><span style="font-size: 11pt;font-family: Verdana;">J.M. Merle<i> </i></span><span style="font-size: 11pt;font-family: Verdana;">(ed.),
Ophrys 2008) montre l'ampleur des problématiques qui y sont liées, en
particulier en ce qui concerne la délimitation de la notion même de
prédication, ainsi que ce que le directeur du volume appelle ses
« avatars ». </span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;font-family: Verdana;">On
peut envisager de traiter cette question dans une perspective
interlinguistique, c’est-à-dire comme permettant un échange entre les
linguistes qui travaillent sur les deux langues germaniques que sont
l’anglais et l'allemand. Cette perspective caractérise le groupe du
LIDIL12, qui favorise les échanges entre les diverses langues
représentées, et leurs traditions linguistiques.</span><span style="font-size: 11pt;font-family: Times;"></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 11pt;font-family: Verdana;">Nous
n’excluons bien évidemment pas les approches unilingues et /ou
synchroniques, mais souhaitons que cette journée d’étude soit l’occasion
d’aborder les perspectives diachroniques et/ou contrastives, de façon à

enjeux discursifs dans la prédication d'existence, la prédication
averbale, les phrases à sujet indéfini et à interprétation
