Description de la journée<br>
<br>
Ces journées sont organisées par le projet "Calcul de la référence<br>
nominale : langues avec et sans articles" de la Fédération Typologie et<br>
Universaux du Langage (CNRS FRE 2559) qui vise à réunir des chercheurs<br>
travaillant sur<br>
-- l'acquisition L1 et L2,<br>
-- les langues des signes et<br>
-- la syntaxe et sémantique comparatives<br>
<br>
Les journées sont ouvertes aux communications qui portent sur des<br>
questions de syntaxe, sémantique et morphologie des moyens linguistiques<br>
pour exprimer la (in)définitude.<br>
<br>
Nous encourageons toute soumission concernant l’expression de la<br>
référentialité des groupes nominaux, en particulier autour des questions<br>
suivantes :<br>
- quel est le rôle des articles définis et indéfinis dans l’expression de<br>
la référentialité ?<br>
- comment les mêmes effets référentiels sont-ils obtenus dans des langues<br>
ne possédant pas d’articles ?<br>
- quelles sont les distinctions sémantiques qui opèrent dans des systèmes<br>
qui distinguent deux articles définis distincts (voir Ebert 1970, 1971,<br>
Löbner 1985) or two indefinite articles (voir von Heusinger, Klaus &<br>
Klein, Udo (à par.) The Distribution of two Indefinite Articles in Uzbek<br>
et les références citées dans ce travail).<br>
<br>
Nous invitons toutes les personnes intéressées à soumettre des résumés<br>
pour une présentation de 25 minutes (plus dix minutes de discussion). Les<br>
résumés doivent être anonymes. Ils ne doivent pas dépasser deux pages,<br>
exemples et indications bibliographiques inclus. Vous pouvez rédiger vos<br>
résumés en français ou en anglais.<br>

Les résumés sont à envoyer par courrier électronique, de façon anonyme, à<br>
l’adresse pcabredo //AT// univ-paris8.fr au plus tard le 1er déc 2011.<br>
<br>
Envoyez le résumé sans mention des auteurs en pièce jointe (au format<br>
texte, RTF, Postscript ou PDF), et indiquez dans la rubrique ’objet’ le<br>
nom du premier auteur suivi du mot ’abstract’ (e.g., ’Dupont abstract’).<br>
Veuillez inscrire dans le corps du message les coordonnées des auteurs<br>
(nom, affiliation, adresse) et le titre du résumé.<br>

Workshop description<br>
<br>
The workshop is organised by the project "Calcul de la référence nominale<br>
: langues avec et sans articles" of the Fédération Typologie et Universaux<br>
du Langage (CNRS FRE 2559) which aims to bring together researchers in<br>
-- L1 and L2 language acquisition,<br>
-- sign language linguistics and<br>
-- comparative syntax and semantics.<br>
<br>
We encourage submissions exploring the linguistic means used to establish<br>
the reference of a nominal expression, focusing on the following questions<br>
:<br>
- what is the role of definite and indefinite articles in establishing the<br>
reference of the DP ?<br>
- how are the effects of definite and indefinite articles achieved in<br>
languages that lack those articles ?<br>
- what are the semantic distinctions involved in languages that<br>
distinguish two distinct definite articles (see Ebert 1970, Löbner 1985<br>
and much subsequent literature) or two indefinite articles (see von<br>
Heusinger, Klaus & Klein, Udo (to appear) The Distribution of two<br>
Indefinite Articles in Uzbek and references cited there).<br>
<br>
We welcome work on formal syntax and semantics, L1 and L2 acquisition of<br>
(in)definiteness in spoken and sign languages.<br>
<br>
We invite submissions for 25-minute presentations (plus ten-minute<br>
discussions).<br>
<br>
Abstracts should be at most 2 pages in length (including examples and<br>
references) written in French or English.<br>
<br>
Abstracts must be anonymous and should be sent by e-mail (plain ASCII,<br>
rtf, ps or pdf) to : pcabredo //AT// univ-paris8.fr<br>
<br>
Please write the (first) author’s name plus the word ’abstract’ in the<br>
subject line of your message (e.g., ’Dupont abstract’), and include author<br>

that we should use for correspondence.<br>
