"formulaire" pour l’analyse des discours institutionnels :
l’exemple de la formule "développement durable"<br>

Résumé :<br>
Cette conférence s’inscrit dans une perspective
pluridisciplinaire fortement ancrée en sciences du langage, et
qui vise à appréhender certains aspects des discours politiques,
médiatiques et institutionnels contemporains. <br>
Dans ce cadre, la notion de "formule" est considérée comme
particulièrement heuristique : s’appuyant sur du
linguistiquement descriptible et sur du discursivement
observable, elle permet de saisir la façon dont les acteurs
sociaux organisent, par le moyen des discours, les rapports de
pouvoir et d’opinion. <br>
L’intervention permet de rappeler la généalogie et la définition
de la notion de "formule", et de souligner les relations
multiples qu’un tel type d’entrée entretient avec des
questionnements essentiels des sciences du langage (lexique,
figement, néologie, métalangage, métadiscours, sentiment
linguistique…). <br>
Au cours de l’exposé, une place particulièrement importante est
ménagée à l’exemple de la formule "développement durable", dont
on montre qu’elle constitue un opérateur de neutralisation de la
conflictualité, contribuant à l’élaboration de discours de
consensus. Là aussi, le soubassement profondément linguistique
des phénomènes observés se fait jour, par exemple lorsqu’il
s’agit d’identifier la concessive comme type d’opération
syntaxique constitutive des définitions et paraphrases de
"développement durable", avec lesquelles cette formule continue
de maintenir, dans l’interdiscours, le contact.<br>
