THE 15th ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT<br>

UNIVERSITY OF BUCHAREST, ROMANIA<br>

The English Department of the University of Bucharest will hold its 15th Annual Conference from 6–8 June, 2013.<br>
<br>
Papers are invited in:<br>
<br>
General Linguistics<br>
<br>
Linguistic Theories<br>
<br>
Theoretical Linguistics (syntax, phonology, semantics and the interfaces)<br>
<br>
Language acquisition<br>
<br>
Applied Linguistics<br>
<br>
Presentations should be in English, and will be allocated 20 minutes each, plus 10 minutes for discussion. Prospective participants are invited to submit anonymous abstracts in both Word and PDF format*.<br>
<br>
The abstract should include the title and three keywords/phrases that best describe the content of the abstract. The title of the paper, name of the author(s), affiliation(s), surface mail address and e-mail address should be included in the e-mail message. Abstracts should not be longer than two pages in length (including examples and references), in 12-point type, single line spacing and 2, 5 cm. margins. Talks will be 25 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion.<br>
<br>
Conference fee: 50 euro (covering lunches and refreshments during the conference, but not evening meals).<br>
<br>
Deadline for of proposals: 16 March 2013.<br>
<br>
A selection of papers from the conference will be published in Bucharest Working Papers in Linguistics.<br>
