<p><span style="font-size: 11pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri,Verdana,Helvetica,Arial;"><br> Les sciences de l’humain s’intéressent encore aujourd’hui pour une bonne part à l’étude de la culture seconde, la culture commune restant paradoxalement peu explorée. Quelles sources permettraient de se faire une idée de la nature et de l’évolution de la culture commune en Occident au cours du dernier millénaire, en séparant ce qui tient au contexte d’échange, à la classe sociale et aux pratiques régionales ? Il faudrait une documentation produite continûment par une institution stable, ayant tôt eu intérêt à recourir à l’écrit, pour rendre compte d’un vaste ensemble d’acteurs sociaux au-delà des seules classes dominantes. Une telle documentation pourrait bien se trouver dans les sources légales normandes.<br><br> Cette première rencontre </span><span style="font-family: Times,Times New Roman;"><em>Culture commune </em></span><span style="font-family: Calibri,Verdana,Helvetica,Arial;">a un triple objectif. Il s’agit d’abord d’établir les ressources disponibles pour l’appréhension de la culture commune pour la période contemporaine et la diachronie, ainsi que l’état actuel de leur accessibilité aux chercheurs et au grand public. Les questions scientifiques auxquelles les données considérées ont permis et permettront de répondre sont également à considérer : le développement de nouvelles ressources pour mieux répondre aux questions posées par la culture commune, et l’opportunité d’élaborer des programmes scientifiques (trans)disciplinaires en réponse à des appels à projets par exemple semblent pressants. Cette urgence se reporte à l’intégration à la démarche des prospectives de valorisation à la fois des ressources et des travaux scientifiques.
