Cet ouvrage entend lancer une réflexion sur la terminologie
multilingue, en examinant notamment le cas d’un domaine
spécifique, celui de l’égalité entre les hommes et les femmes,
qui est loin d’épuiser les débats et les confrontations entre
acteurs aussi bien nationaux qu’internationaux.<br>
L’auteure revient sur les principales approches en terminologie
et propose une démarche discursive d’« archive » qui peut se
révéler utile pour améliorer non seulement la flexibilité des
ressources terminologiques électroniques multilingues, mais
aussi pour repenser les critères de normalisation et pour relier
la terminologie à la traduction.<br>
Les nombreux exemples, tirés des discours multilingues de
plusieurs organisations et institutions internationales (OCDE,
OIF, ONU, UE, UNESCO…), permettent non seulement d’illustrer le
propos de l’auteure, mais ils amènent aussi à repenser le rôle
du terminologue/terminographe et à poser la question de la
nécessité d’une éthique en terminologie. Outil incontournable
pour tout traducteur et terminologue, cet ouvrage fournit une
méthode raisonnée pour s’orienter à travers la prolifération des
termes que les sources informatiques actuelles contribuent à
accroître sans cesse.<br>
Il s’adresse en priorité aux spécialistes du domaine
(terminologues, terminographes, traducteurs, experts), aux
analystes du discours, aux experts en communication, aux
enseignants, mais aussi aux décideurs qui contribuent à orienter
les politiques nationales, internationales et transnationales.<br>
<br>
Rachele Raus : Elle est enseignante-chercheuse de linguistique
française à l’Université de Turin où elle enseigne depuis 2002.
De 2009 à 2012, elle a également dirigé le CIRSDe (Centre de
recherche interdisciplinaire sur les Femmes) de Turin. Elle
s’est spécialisée en sémantique et en analyse du discours et
s’intéresse également à la terminologie, notamment de l’égalité
H/F, dans une perspective de traduction. Elle a publié et dirigé
des ouvrages sur la lexicologie et sur la terminologie, en
privilégiant l’« observatoire » de l’analyste du discours.<br>
