<p><div class="WordSection1"><p class="partitre"><i>L’écrit scientifique : du lexique au discours. Autour de Scientext<o></o></i></p><p class="partitre">Agnès Tutin et Francis Grossmann (dir.), Presses Universitaires de Rennes, 2014 (prix : 17 euros)<o></o></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";">L’étude de l’écrit scientifique est aujourd’hui en plein essor : elle vise en particulier à mieux cerner ce qui fait la spécificité du langage scientifique et à comparer les rhétoriques disciplinaires. Au centre des investigations menées, il y a la manière dont sont mises en scène, dans le lexique et le discours, les procédures de découverte et de validation des connaissances. L’ouvrage s’appuie sur un ensemble de recherches effectuées à partir du corpus Scientext, corpus en français et en anglais développé par plusieurs équipes de chercheurs sous la responsabilité du laboratoire LIDILEM à Grenoble 3. Deux problématiques sont privilégiées, celle du positionnement de l’auteur scientifique par rapport à ses devanciers et à ses pairs, et celle du raisonnement, tel qu’il apparaît dans l’argumentation ou les chaînes causales. À partir de ces deux entrées principales, une série de thématiques plus spécifiques sont explorées : la phraséologie « transdisciplinaire », le fonctionnement de la citation, l’utilisation des verbes de constat et des verbes causatifs, la structuration textuelle des écrits scientifiques, sans oublier la question de l’expertise des propositions de communication. D’autres retombées du projet font l’objet <o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";">de développements comme la construction en cours d’un dictionnaire « pour la science », la sensibilisation des jeunes chercheurs aux caractéristiques de l’écriture scientifique pour l’anglais et pour le français.
