L’introduction à la problématique.<o></o></span></p><pre><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";">Guillaume Segerer (LLACAN, Paris, CNRS) - Sébastien FLAVIER (DDL, Lyon, CNRS) :</span><o></o></pre><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";">« La représentation classique des rapports phylogénétiques à l'aide d'arbres est généralement obtenue à partir des pourcentages de ressemblances lexicales, ou plutôt d'homologies lexicales (l'"homologie" est en biologie une ressemblance due à une origine commune). A partir de ces arbres, si l'on considère que le taux de remplacement lexical est à peu près fixe, on peut évaluer l'âge de chacun des nœuds, c'est-à-dire la date de séparation des différentes branches. Cette méthode, appelée glottochronologie, présente de nombreux points faibles qui ne seront pas détaillés. Nous proposons de tester une nouvelle méthode d'évaluation phylogénétique qui procède à l'inverse : à partir d'un arbre supposé, on peut estimer le nombre théorique des traces phylogénétiques (c'est-à-dire la proportion du vocabulaire d'origine conservé à chaque nœud) en fonction de deux variables principales qui sont la configuration de l'arbre et le taux de remplacement lexical pour chaque branche. Cette méthode doit permettre, par tâtonnements successifs, d'aboutir à un arbre optimal.
