Plus déterminée, l'écologie désigne tout d'abord la science des milieux, apparue au XIX<sup>e</sup> siècle, puis, à partir des années 1960, un mouvement politique de protection de la nature. La médiatisation croissante du changement climatique, considéré comme un problème majeur à partir des années 2000, a placé l’énergie au centre des débats sur l’environnement et l’écologie. Ce colloque propose de s'interroger sur ces phénomènes du point de vue des disciplines spécialisées, de la terminologie consacrée, du discours et des problèmes transversaux de communication rencontrés. <o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;"><o> </o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;">Trois axes de réflexion pourront être privilégiés :<o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;"><o> </o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><b><span style="font-size:10.5pt;">1- Disciplines spécialisées et interdisciplinarité<o></o></span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;">Afin de résoudre les problèmes d'environnement, tels que le changement climatique et la dépendance énergétique, la collaboration de spécialistes d'origines disciplinaires diverses est nécessaire. Ce colloque propose de faire une place aux spécialistes non linguistes, dont les regards, les points de vue et les explications pourront apporter des éclairages indispensables. Il vise à identifier, au-delà des découpages traditionnels des savoirs, comment les disciplines concernées évoluent et ce qui peut rassembler dans ce domaine intrinsèquement interdisciplinaire.<o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;"><o> </o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><b><span style="font-size:10.5pt;">2- Langue, discours et communication <o></o></span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;">Au vu des phénomènes de « colonisation » disciplinaire, de l’hybridation discursive, des mutations et des néologismes qui caractérisent la langue et culture de spécialité environnementale, comment définir les spécificités langagières du domaine ? Dans ce contexte, quel est le rôle de la vulgarisation ? Quel est l’apport de l’analyse de discours dans les textes publicitaires, politiques, écologistes, associatifs, etc. ? Quels sont les problèmes de traduction particuliers qui se posent ? Du point de vue de l'apprentissage de la langue et de la culture de spécialité, on s'interrogera sur les défis auxquels sont confrontés les enseignants de langues pour transmettre des connaissances sur un domaine aussi évolutif et interdisciplinaire.<o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;"><o> </o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><b><span style="font-size:10.5pt;">3- Culture, représentations, comportements<o></o></span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;">Puisque la pollution ne respecte pas les frontières, c'est à un niveau global que les problèmes environnementaux, écologiques et énergétiques doivent être (re)pensés. Pourtant, lié à des principes aussi fondamentaux que variables, le discours sur l'environnement est fortement influencé par des facteurs (inter)culturels. Nevertheless, it is today commonly accepted as referring to the range of biological, chemical and social determinants which affect human beings. <o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";">Initially used in the 19th century to designate those sciences related essentially to habitat, during the 1960s, the concept developed into a political movement centred on nature conservation issues. With the millennium, attention shifted to climate change as a source of major concern and resulting media coverage has resulted in energy becoming the focus of debate dynamics in environmental and ecology studies.<o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";">This conference seeks to address these phenomena from the intersecting perspectives of specialized disciplines, terminology, discourse, culture and related cross-cultural communication issues within the framework of three main thematic axes:<o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";"> <o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><b><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";">1. Specialised disciplines and interdisciplinarity<o></o></span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";">Addressing environmental issues such as climate change and energy dependence entails close collaboration between specialists from the diverse disciplinary fields involved. This conference invites specialists and professionals from energy-related subject-domains to present their respective approaches and views and identity the evolutionary dynamics of an inherently interdisciplinary field.<o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";"><o> </o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><b><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";">2. Specialised language, discourse and communication<o></o></span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";">In view of the disciplinary “colonisation”, discourse hybridisation, lexical mutations and neologisms which characterize the specialized language, discourse and culture of environmental sciences, is it at all possible to identify a particular form of linguistic specificity? To what extent do the gradually crystallizing characteristics of previously embryonic discourse genres help cope with novel communication contexts? In this light, what is the role of the popularization of scientific discourse and outreach? What are the problems posed in the domain of translation? What is the contribution of discourse analysis? And finally, from the teaching/learning perspective, what are the new challenges faced by teachers in the field of languages for specialized purposes with regard to an interdisciplinary subject-domain in constant evolution?<o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";"><o> </o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><b><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";">3. Specialised cultures, representations and behaviours<o></o></span></b></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";">Since pollution heeds no borders, it is at a global level that environmental, ecological and energy problems need to be (re)defined.
