L’essor de la génétique textuelle, développée en France au cours des années 1970, semble ne pas avoir pour le moment beaucoup d’influence sur les études traductologiques. Pourtant, au cœur de la génétique textuelle, il y a d’une part la naissance et le développement de l’œuvre originale, autrement dit l’histoire scripturaire du texte source, et d’autre part les questions liées à sa vie et à sa survie éditoriales. L’édition et la post-édition relèvent notamment du domaine philologique, composante clé à tous les effets de l’approche génétique. Les modalités de la genèse d’un texte et de sa (sur)vie éditoriale concernent aussi la traduction en tant que processus scripturaire méta-textuel accompli sous contrainte et en tant que résultat de ce processus. La traductibilité est par excellence une condition instable et mouvante du texte cible, une propriété intrinsèque de l’inachèvement du traduire.<BR>
</SPAN></FONT></FONT><FONT SIZE="2"><FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN style="font-size:11pt;"><BR>
</SPAN></FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"><SPAN style="font-size:12pt;">L’approche génétique est donc pertinente au plan traductologique mais, comme pour l’œuvre originale, il faut trouver dans les archives du traducteur, de la maison d’édition ou des institutions comme l’IMEC les brouillons, les mises au net, les exemplaires dactylographiés, les épreuves et les imprimés. Chaque fonds d’archives est toutefois unique et les stratégies d’analyse à adopter doivent s’adapter aux caractéristiques de celui-ci. En se penchant sur les brouillons d’un traducteur de l’IMEC, confortablement installés dans une magnifique abbaye du XIIe siècle, nous sommes déjà, paradoxalement, dans la traductologie de demain : notre étude vise à reconstituer de façon dynamique l’acte même du traduire, à cerner les doutes, les ratés et les acquis menant, par degrés successifs, à la naissance du texte d’arrivée.<BR>

Ce colloque international donnera en priorité la parole en 2015 aux chercheurs qui auront fait la démarche d’étudier le fonds d’un traducteur de l’IMEC, pour le saisir à l’œuvre dans son laboratoire, pour analyser la genèse et les variantes de ses traductions, ses échanges épistolaires avec l’auteur ou l’éditeur ou ses réflexions traductologiques (souvent inédites).<BR>

</SPAN></FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"><SPAN style="font-size:12pt;">D’autres communications seront également prises en compte si l’approche génétique des textes source et cible, même sans avoir consulté à l’IMEC le fonds du traducteur en question, concerne l’œuvre de traduction de celui-ci.<BR>

</SPAN></FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"><SPAN style="font-size:12pt;">Enfin, on pourra aussi prendre en compte des interventions théoriques développant les questions liées à l’approche génétique et philologique des archives des traducteurs.<BR>
