Le langage conditionne-t-il notre vision du monde ? Nous aborderons cette problématique à travers la question de l’espace et de son expression dans les langues. Nous passerons en revue les variations observables d’une langue à l’autre, ce qui nous amènera à une question plus complexe encore : pourquoi même parlons-nous d’espace ?<br>

Benjamin Fagard<br>
Agrégé de grammaire et docteur en linguistique, Benjamin Fagard est chargé de recherche au CNRS depuis 2007. Ses recherches portent sur l’évolution linguistique (grammaticalisation et évolution sémantique) dans les langues romanes et, dans une perspective contrastive et/ou typologique, dans d’autres langues (langues germaniques, slaves, créole français et hongrois notamment). <br>
Il travaille sur l’expression de l’espace dans les langues (Projet CNRS/TUL « Trajectoire », projet du Labex TransferS « ET » : http://fromspacetotime.wordpress.com/, projet du Max Planck de Nimègue « EoSS »), sur l’évolution des prépositions (Projet ANR/DFG « Presto »), sur la grammaticalisation (Projet fédéral belge « Gramis », projet ANR « SFA », projet innovant de l’université Paris III « Espace et grammaticalisation »).<br>
