Dans le domaine du développement du langage, de nombreux travaux examinent l’acquisition des liaisons en L1 et L2 depuis une quinzaine d’années. En nous fondant sur les études de corpus et les expérimentations concernant la L1 (Chevrot et al., 2013 ; Wauquier, 2009, pour des vuesd’ensemble),nous montrerons comment ces travaux contribuent à un débat plus général entre deux conceptions de la connaissance linguistique : une conception basée sur la grammaire et une conception basée sur l’usage(Ambridge & Lieven, 2011). Nous présenterons ensuite le modèle fondé sur l’usage de l’acquisition des liaisons obligatoires (Chevrot et al., 2009 ; Dugua et al., 2009). Les caractéristiques du français sont à l'origine de mauvaises segmentations chez les petits enfants comme de(s)[n]éléphants [de.ne.le.fɑ̃] pour des[z]éléphants [de.ze.le.fɑ̃] ou u(n)[Ø]avion [ɛ̃ a.vjɔ̃] pour un[n]avion [ɛ.na.vjɔ̃] (Wauquier 2013 ; Chevrot et al. 2001, 2005). Entre 4 et 5 ans ces erreurs de liaison diminuent et après 5 ans, seules les erreurs d'omission de la CL subsistent à l'oral (Chevrot et al. 2013). Deux explications ont été données pour expliquer ce pattern de développement : une explication lexicale (Chevrot & Fayol, 2001) reposant sur la fréquence des mots et une explication phonologique autosegmentale (Wauquier & Braud, 2005 ; Wauquier, 2009).</font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="font-size:12.8000001907349px;"><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Est-ce que l'entrée à l'école et l'apprentissage de l'écriture influencent l'acquisition de la liaison ? Comment l'écriture peut trouver sa place entre les deux explications ?
