Dans un désir de nuancer les explications strictement internes de l’évolution diachronique, nous nous placerons dans la perspective théorique des recherches sur le changement linguistique induit par le contact. Nous appelons les contributeurs à apporter un éclairage nouveau sur les conséquences du contact entre les langues, soit qu’il s’agisse d’interférences occasionnelles au niveau de la langue ou de la parole ou bien de convergences structurelles bien enracinées dans le système grammatical. Le changement linguistique induit par le contact entre les langues pourra être abordé dans la perspective dynamique de la diachronie du contact et de ses conséquences ou bien à travers l’étude d’un état de langue donné considéré synchroniquement comme le résultat présent d’un contact passé. <o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-left:0cm;text-align:justify;"><span> Outre l’impact du contact linguistique sur le système interne des langues, il est important de mettre à profit les compétences des sociolinguistes pour tenter de cerner la continuité ou la récursivité qui unissent les modalités empiriques du</span><span style="color:#1F497D;"> c</span><span>ontact (alternance de codes; mélange de codes; hybridation) avec des considérations plus axées sur les systèmes linguistiques eux-mêmes, notamment dans les langues dites fusionnelles comme le yiddish, le romani ou le swahili dont l’émergence même est due au contact entre les langues ou au multilinguisme.<o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-left:0cm;text-align:justify;"><span> Enfin, le débat scientifique sur les conséquences du contact linguistique sur les systèmes doit aussi prendre en compte la dimension individuelle du contact entre les langues. Les psycholinguistes intéressés par les phénomènes d’interférence, de convergence et de mimétisme, les spécialistes du bilinguisme individuel ou les didacticiens s’occupant de l’interlangue sont invités à enrichir cette réflexion sur l’impact du contact linguistique. <o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-left:0cm;text-align:justify;"><span> <br>La langue de publication sera soit le français, soit l’anglais. In order to counterbalance the strictly internalist approaches to diachronic evolution, we will adopt the theoretical perspective provided by the studies on contact-induced linguistic changes.</span><span><o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-left:0cm;text-align:justify;"><span lang="EN-US"> The contributors are requested to cast a new light on the results of language contact, either as an occasional interference at the level of social or individual speech or as a structural convergence deeply rooted in the grammatical structure. The contact-induced linguistic changes may be considered in the dynamic perspective of the diachrony of language contact or through the study of a given state of language examined synchronically as the present result of a previous contact.</span><span><o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-left:0cm;text-align:justify;"><span lang="EN-US"> Besides the impact of language contact on the inner system of languages, it is important to involve also a sociolinguistic dimension in order to grasp the continuity or the reccursivity that unite the empirical modalities of language contacts (code-switching; code-mixing; hybridization) with considerations more centered on the study of the linguistic systems themselves, especially as far as fusion languages like Yiddish, Romani or Swahili are concerned. Indeed, the very existence of such languages is due to language contact and multilingualism.</span><span><o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-left:0cm;text-align:justify;"><span lang="EN-US"> Lastly, the scientific debate on the impact of language contact on the systems should also take into account the individual dimension.
