According to the VLC developers, this issue should have been fixed a
few days ago. From the VLC developer's forums:<br>

configuration in 1.1.10 builds available for the first 24 hours
after publication. Please delete your current installation and
download VLC again from videolan.org. This will also free 30 MB on
your harddrive.</blockquote>

That being said 1.1.9 does work without issue (tried and tested) -
there should be no need to go back to 1.1.8. Support for 10.5.8 for
many applications will end soon I fear. There are just too many
changes between 10.6 and 10.5 now to effectively target both systems
and with 10.7 coming out I suspect VLC 1.1.10 may be the last VLC
which targets mac os 10.5.<br>

2) Use the script application icon in the 1.1.8 "goodies" folder
to clear the VLC preferences, then deleted the whole thing,
restarted, and downloaded VLC 1.1.8 intel 64 by going in the
through the directory.<br>

***Note: the same should hold true if you use VLC 1.1.9 (all the
links above can be modified with the 1.1.9 version), however, I
have heard of one person who had to backtrack to 1.1.8, hence my
instructions with this latter version above***<br>

Things should work from there. If you could please confirm, one
way or another, it would be great. In the meantime, we will do
anything possible to get everything working smoothly using the
latest version of VLC.<br>

encouraged by Yvan Roses's presentation of Phon at the ICPC

in York yesterday, I have downloaded the program today (on my
Mac OS X<br>
10.5.8.) During installation, I was instructed to also

sound files, Phon says: "Failed to load VLC. Please ensure

found." VLC itself, however, works just fine. At the same

not really sure the videos are actually uploaded to Phon

do not appear anywhere ('number of records' shown in the
project<br>
manager window is 0, but when I try to upload them again, it
says that<br>
'file already exists'.)<br>

If you have any idea as to what is wrong/what I'm doing wrong,

very much appreciate your help.<br>
