Compact Flash Cards and Portable Speakers

Hullo Everyone

Can anyone advise on the merits of different brands of Compact Flash  
cards and if there are any disadvantages to using a large card eg 4GB  
or is it better to stay with 1GB or 2GB cards?

Also does anyone know a brand of portable speakers that could be used  
with the laptop computer without needing extra power that has a  
headphone socket as described by Joe Blythe on 6 October last year?  
And if not, does anyone have advice on the relative merits of any  
portable speakers that could be used in the field to allow a group to  
listen to a recording?
