We did an exhibition in London three years ago called "Endangered Voices" - see http://www.hrelp.org/events/endangeredvoices/ It consisted of a series of thematic panels and a full wall map of endangered languages, and was done in collaboration with a sound artist, John Wynne, who had a parallel exhibition of his creative work called "Hearing Voices". We produced a CD-ROM in connection with the exhibition.

Good morning All,

I hope this email finds you well.

We're about to open a travelling regional exhibition at the local WA Museum called Nganhungu Wangga - Our Languages.

It will focus on the speakers from several languages in the Mid West region of WA and their journeys through life in varying situations that did/did not allow them to continue their way of living and communicating. The exhibition mainly attempts to encourage the audience to understand the actions of dominant society of the past and present, and the impact on identity and human rights.

Is anyone aware of any language focused exhibitions in the past? Or is anyone working on anything?

Many thanks,

Adriano
