logging facebook conversations?

Hi Bill,

They absolutely are searchable. Facebook added the "Posts by Everyone" feature early last year. Now, when you go into facebook.com, type something in the facebook search box. You will get a bunch of results, but there are a few filter buttons on the left hand side: All results, People, Pages, Groups, Apps, Events, Web REsults, Posts by Friends, Posts by Everyone.

You can filter down to Posts by Everyone. The search results will now show posts containing your search term, in chronological order with the newest on top. Just out of interest, filter by 'Posts by Everyone'. You can search through the posts of strangers. So not only are your facebook posts up there forever (unless you delete them) but they are searchable by anyone on facebook; not private. You can make them private though. When you put a new post up, you have a lock in the bottom right hand corner. Click on it and share only with Friends. It should be so by default, but it may not be.

If this still doesn't satisfy, there is this hideous option: http://www.ninuku.com/ Fancy a hardcopy of your facebook page published every year for $2 a month? Indulge your narcissism with that option and horrify your friends and family with these as Christmas gifts.

Cheers,
Xavier
