Hello all,

The next meeting of the Brisbane Linguistics in the Pub (BLiP) will take place on Wednesday, 31 July 2013, at 7pm.

Venue is, as usual, at the Brisbane German Club, 416 Vulture St, Woolloongabba QLD 4102.

The session will be moderated by Masataka Yamaguchi from UQ, and the topic is "Mocking or crossing?: Mock Spanish, White crossover, and more". The reading for this session is: Jane H. Hill. 1998. Language, Race, and White Public Space. American Anthropologist 100 (3), 680–689. Please find it attached.
