[RNLD] mpg and wav editing freeware

The simplest program for cutting video files (of a variety of formats) is
mpeg streamclip. You can specify the exact start frame and the end frame
and export to a number of formats.

As for audio, about the simplest thing for this is Audacity, even though it
is a bit bloated still. One could possibly edit audio in mpeg streamclip,
as a matter of fact.
