Senior Data Management Officer

The Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre for Excellence for the Dynamics of Language is a new cross-disciplinary research centre with researchers dispersed across four participating universities (ANU, University of Melbourne, University of Queensland and University of Western Sydney), as well as numerous domestic and international partner institutions.
The successful candidate will utilise their high level experience in working with digital archives to build on the PARADISEC data model and to develop appropriate metadata structures and protocols for data access to meet the research objectives of the Centre.

This is a continuing (contingent-funded) appointment for a period of seven years.  Full applications must include response to the selection criteria and updated CV. If appropriate for their background and interests, the successful candidate may negotiate up to 10% of the time to do research related to the Centre's activities.

Communications and Outreach Officer

The Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre for Excellence for the Dynamics of Language is a new cross-disciplinary research centre with researchers dispersed across four participating universities (ANU, University of Melbourne, University of Queensland and University of Western Sydney), as well as numerous domestic and international partner institutions.
The Communications and Outreach Coordinator will play a key role in publicising the Centre's research, influencing the public agenda in relation to language and language learning and inspiring interest in the dynamics of language in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
This is a continuing (contingent-funded) appointment for a period of seven years.  Full application must include response to the selection criteria and updated CV with links to websites or samples illustrating ability to communicate research to the general public in one or more relevant media outlets.
As part of the selection process shortlisted candidates will be required to prepare at least one mock-up web page outlining the Centre's activities.
