They should have sold you the solargorilla instead, which is designed to
charge a laptop, but does not come with an external battery that is
charged. It need to charge the laptop directly from the sun. The one you
got hasn't got adequate voltage to charge a laptop, nor does it have the
physical connectors necessary to even try.

It's not a huge difference in price, so take it back and see if they can
exchange it for the one you need.
