*​​The Sylheti Language conference*

We are pleased to announce the Sylheti Language Conference under the
auspices of the Department of Linguistics, SOAS. The conference is
organized by the members of the Sylheti Project that includes postgraduate
students and staff members of the linguistics department, and members of
the Surma Centre in Camden.
This one-day conference will be an opportunity for linguists and other
academics to present and discuss research on Sylheti, in a programme that
ranges from its phonology to its role in communication about climate
