Summer School Travel Scholarships

Sydney, January 2019



Five domestic travel scholarships are available to Indigenous language workers to attend the Australian Indigenous Languages Institute Summer Intensive program in Sydney in January 2019.

Funds will cover domestic travel from home community to Sydney, 2 weeks of accommodation, course fees, materials and excursions.

Applications close 19 October 2018


Successful completion of the course can be credited towards a Diploma of Indigenous Language Work<https://www.cdu.edu.au/study/diploma-indigenous-language-work-yinla1-2018> at Charles Darwin University, and for other universities through cross-institutional credit.



Travel scholarships are made possible thanks to the Australian Government's Indigenous Languages and Arts program.

CDU Sydney Campus: Level 10, 815 George St HAYMARKET





Courses available (choose one only):

  *   Introduction to Yolngu Languages & Culture
  *   Gamilaraay 1
  *   Linguistics for Indigenous Languages



These courses can be taken for credit towards a Bachelor of Indigenous Languages and Linguistics from Charles Darwin University, or via cross-institutional credit at another institution.



The Indigenous Languages Summer School is a collaborative project between the Australian National University, Charles Darwin University and Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education supporting the Australian Indigenous Languages Institute.
