Dear colleagues,

I am applying for funding for purchasing still and video camera equipment for Solomon Islanders who have taken part in recent language workshops and want to begin working on language documentation and production. We would be intending to use zoom H1 recorders for recording good quality audio.

It has been a long time since I’ve purchased photo and video equipment and I am looking for equipment recommendations for reasonably priced and easy to use video recorders or cameras would do both still and decent video.

Thanks in advance for any advice. If you want to replay directly to me, I’ll report back to the list with compilation of advice for others interested.

All best
Debra
