Dear RNLDers,<br><br>In a recent <a href="http://www.environment.gov.au/minister/garrett/2010/mr20100608c.html">press release</a>, the Australian Government has announced the awarding $1.5 million to Northern Territory projects under the Maintenance of Indigenous Languages and Records (MILR) Program. <br>
<br>MILR grants will fund 13 projects in the NT. The Aboriginal Resource and Development Services Inc has been awarded triennial funding to further develop English to Yolngu Matha (Dhuwal) electronic dictionaries; and to revitalise and preserve the endangered Dhangu/Djangu and Gurrangay Matha languages. Batchelor Institute was awarded $312,500 to support the Wadeye Aboriginal Languages Centre to maintain and revive
Marri and Murrinhpatha languages, and to develop a Marri language
