<p>I thought you might like to know if you've not seen it already that the <span>

Protocol to Ensure Language Rights</span>, or the Donostia Protocol, has been released publicly. Their homepage protokoloa.eus describes it as a "<span>tool to meet the challenge of safeguarding the rights of Europe’s minority languages</span>", specifically

 within a European context but of course there are similar patterns everywhere. It seems to be a wide-ranging attempt to address language minoritization with advisory measures, as an expansion of similar declarations including the 1996 UN Declaration of Linguistic

 Rights and the <span>European Charter for Regional and Minority Languages. I anticipate we'll see some papers analyzing this within the coming years!</span></p>
