Hi Justin,
You'll want to ask FLEx questions on the FLEx list, where the community, developers, and support folks hang out. In particular, you'll want to find out if you're being bitten by a bug Microsoft shipped in Windows updates around last June (in .net 4.7). Microsoft has now fixed it, but you may have to do some things to get that fix to your machine sooner than it would normally. I haven't been following that saga, but here's one thread I see on the FLEx list.

What I think people are doing is letting Microsoft update them a bit early, for example to the Windows 10 Autumn Creators Edition (version 1709). At https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/upcoming-features, near the bottom, it tells how to get it early.

On Wed, Sep 20, 2017 at 8:21 AM, Pinta, Justin D. <pinta.3@buckeyemail.osu.edu> wrote:

I am a PhD student in the middle of a corpus project, and I have been using Fieldworks Language Explorer (FLEx) for the past few weeks. I recently got a new PC and I installed FLEx with no problem (I have Windows 10 and I installed the most recent version
of FLEx). However, when I leave the "Lexicon" and go to "Texts & Words", and then subsequently to 'Gloss' or 'Analyze', FLEx crashes every time. Right after I click 'Analyze' (or 'Gloss') Windows gives me the error: "FieldWorks has stopped working. A problem
caused the program to stop working correctly..." and then the program crashes.
I have tried the obvious things, i.e. restarting my computer, uninstalling & re-installing FLEx, etc., and yet I still cannot seem to find a solution. The 'Analyze' tab under "Texts & Words" is where I do most of my work so this is unfortunate. Does anyone
have any suggestions?
