RST for media items

Hi,

I am wondering if anybody on this list has used RST with generic media
items like texts, pictures and video.
There is a good research effort going on with the Semantic Web to
annotate on-line elements (i.e. object that are identified by an URL or
accessible via a web interface); these annotations can make a machine
"aware" of the type of content it is retriving.
If the elements from a certain source (for ex. a museum database) are
annotated and the user makes a query to the database, the retrieved
elements could be analyzed with RST in order to create a presentation
about the queried subject to the user.
RST could provide the basis in order to determine the position and the
order for the elements forming the presentation.

Any comment appreciated.

 Stefano
