I found fragments of newspaper editorials analyzed as examples (e.g. the analysis of <a class="textlinks" href="http://www.sfu.ca/rst/02analyses/published.html#notlazinesstext">It's not laziness</a> on the RST's website). Also I am aware of Wekesa Nyongesa Ben's (2012) study on English medium Kenyan Newspaper editorials.
