MANOA, an international literary journal published by the University of
Hawai'i Press, is seeking outstanding fiction (short stories and novel
excerpts), poetry, memoirs, and personal essays for an anthology of
contemporary Cambodian writing. Translations and works on all aspects of the

Cambodian experience from Cambodians in all regions of the world are
welcome;
the primary criterion for selection will be literary quality. The journal
will be published in English; work submitted in Khmer or French will be
considered for translation. Writers may send work that has been previously
published outside of North America. The deadline for receipt of manuscripts
is December 31, 2001. Hard-copy and electronic submissions will be
considered. Manuscripts, with return postage, may be sent to Sharon Brown,
P.O. Box 1609, Paradise, CA 95967-1609, U.S.A. Electronic submissions may be
