Here is an announcement for a lecturer position in Indonesian language at
the University of British Columbia. Please forward to colleagues who may

INDONESIAN LANGUAGE POSITION
The Department of Asian Studies, University of British Columbia is
accepting applications for a sessional lecturer in Indonesian for 4
years, starting in the academic year 2001/2002. The contract will be
a renewable 8 months contract, based upon satisfactory performance.

The lecturer will be responsible for first and second year
instruction in Indonesian (12 credits total, afternoon and evening
classes).

Applications are invited from qualified individuals.  Candidates with
native or near-native fluency in the target language, advanced
degrees, and previous experience in teaching Indonesian as a foreign
language are preferred.

Applications should include a letter of interest, CV, and three
letters of recommendation and should be sent to:

Salary commensurate with years of teaching experience.
