American Ethnic Studies -- Lecturer in Filipino (Tagalog)
  The University of Washington. Contingent on confirmation of anticipated
funding, the Department of American Ethic Studies expects to appoint a
fulltime Lecturer in Filipino (Tagalog). The initial appointment, starting
Autumn Quarter 2004, is for one academic year, with the possibility of
renewal, subject to the continued availability of funding. Applicants should
have at least the M.A. degree in Filipino, language pedagogy, applied
linguistics, or a relevant field with proficiency-based language teaching
experience. Applicants will be expected to teach modern Filipino at any
level and be able to develop new curricula and classroom materials. Send
applications, including a curriculum vitae, statement of teaching interest,
sample of representative teaching materials if available, and three letters
of recommendation to:

  Finalists will be asked to submit a video tape demonstrating teaching
