focuses on 24 conversational videos which are punctuated with
language exercises, grammatical explanations and electronic
flashcards. The conversational videos offer information
about a range of issues facing Bali today. For example, there
are several videos taken at Big Tree Farm's Chocolate Factory
that talk about organic farming, recycling, and
sustainability. Videos taken at the Neka Museum offer insight
into Balinese artists, and ones shot in rice fields discuss
the mechanics and rituals involved with rice harvest. Users
learns Balinese at the same time they learn about important
social issues.
There are also cultural notes which serve as a resource to
anthropological, historical and current topics about Bali,
again making the materials valuable as much for the language
as for being a portal to resources on Bali.
