Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:</p><ul style="box-sizing:border-box;color:rgb(102,102,102);font-family:"Open Sans";font-size:14px"><li>Artificial Intelligence in Language Teaching, Learning, and Language Center Operation</li><li>Language Advocacy Using Technology, Social Media, and/or Multimedia</li><li>The Changing Landscape of Language Teaching and Learning</li><li>New Frameworks for Distance Education and Telecollaboration</li><li>Innovative Practices in K-16 Language and Cultural Learning</li><li>Technologies and Social Networks for Language Learning</li><li>Language Learning and Communities Outside the Classroom</li><li>Cultural Identities, Technology, and Language Learning</li><li>Best Practices in Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL)</li><li>Professional Development Solutions and Challenges</li><li>Language Center Design and Management </li><li>Innovative Language Center Initiatives</li><li>Online and Hybrid Language Teaching and Learning</li><li>Augmented Reality, Virtual Environments, and Gaming in Language Learning</li><li>Ownership, Publication, and Use in Technological Environments</li><li>Legal Issues of Student Privacy and ADA Compliance</li><li>Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL)</li></ul><h3 style="line-height:1.7em;font-family:"Open Sans";color:rgb(102,102,102)"><strong>SESSION TYPES</strong></h3><p style="color:rgb(102,102,102);font-family:"Open Sans";font-size:14px"><strong>Workshops</strong> (3 hours) provide an opportunity for hands-on exploration and application of real-world activities and/or strategies using instructional technology to demonstrate knowledge, skills, and proficiency growth in world languages. </p><p style="color:rgb(102,102,102);font-family:"Open Sans";font-size:14px"><strong>Panels</strong> (50 minutes) bring together participants working separately but in an area of common focus. Panels include topics in areas of research, theory, and practice. In order to allow time for audience questions and interaction, panels should include no more than four members. Panelists will be permitted to present remotely provided that logistical details are handled by members of the panel who will be attending the conference in person.</p><p style="color:rgb(102,102,102);font-family:"Open Sans";font-size:14px"><strong>Presentations</strong> (25 or 50 minutes) highlight the work of individuals and small teams. Presentations should provide an introduction to a specific problem and a description/demonstration of a proposed solution. Presentations may be formal in nature (50 minutes) or presented in a more casual, conversational “quick talk” style (25 minutes). Presentations provide specific strategies and activities implementing instructional technology in world language learning contexts. Presenters should allow time for audience questions and interaction during the allotted time. </p><p style="color:rgb(102,102,102);font-family:"Open Sans";font-size:14px"><strong>Poster Presentations </strong>are intended to be highly interactive, with the opportunity for the presenter to exchange ideas one-on-one or in small groups with attendees during the designated time. Posters (digital or printed) showcase the implementation of instructional technology in world languages that demonstrates strategies, activities, student-generated products, and innovations. If your poster is digital, your laptop should be charged in advance and operated on battery power since electrical outlets may not be available. </p><p style="color:rgb(102,102,102);font-family:"Open Sans";font-size:14px"><strong>Exhibitor Sessions</strong> may promote a product or program for sale by presentation or demonstration through the lens of some pedagogical purpose. This should not equate to a sales pitch, but instead feature a product or program as it can serve the technology and language learning needs of participants. </p><h3 style="line-height:1.7em;font-family:"Open Sans";color:rgb(102,102,102)"><strong>When submitting a proposal, you will sign in/create an account on the IALLT web portal and provide the information below:</strong></h3><ul style="box-sizing:border-box;color:rgb(102,102,102);font-family:"Open Sans";font-size:14px"><li><strong>Speaker Details:</strong> Name, email address, and affiliation (academic institution or business). All the presenters (including second and other additional presenters) are required to register and participate in the conference.</li><li><strong>Session Type</strong></li><li><strong>Session Title</strong></li><li><strong>Abstract:</strong> No more than 200 words.
